Founded in 1853, Wartrace is a beautiful Victorian village nestled in
the heart of Tennessee Walking Horse country, 60 miles southeast of Nashville.
The green rolling hills of eastern Bedford County are the birthplace of
the Tennessee Walking Horse.

Wartrace is steeped in Civil War history, the American railroad, and
Tennessee folk music. For those interested in architecture, we
have both Victorian
and Antebellum homes and buildings. Please visit our links page to
learn more about Wartrace and the surrounding area.

Sit on the porch with us for a spell and take a step back in time. Enjoy
live country, bluegrass, and gospel music at different locations on our
town square. Or, bring your instrument with you and join right in! Wartrace,
the place that time forgot, but you will never forget.
